Niger State Governor Abubakar Bello has assented to the 2021 Appropriation Bill as passed by the State House of Assembly.

Speaker of the State Assembly, Abdullahi Wuse, represented by the Deputy Speaker, Jibrin Baba presented the budget to the Governor at the Government House Minna where it was assented to.

Governor Abubakar Bello while signing the document, says the 2021 budget is a moderate one as the COVID-19 Pandemic has made the government scale down the size of the budget due to the downturn of the economy.

The State House of Assembly has however increased the initial budget of over 151.2 billion Naira presented by the Governor with the sum of over 2.1 billion Naira, bringing the budget to over 153.3 billion Naira.
